Established in 2002 and based in Port Hope Ontario, Critical Freight Inc has established itself as a freight brokerage leader in the transportation industry. Critical Freight Inc is a company that provides exceptional and reliable service, that believes in honesty, integrity, and old fashion service. We work in partnership with our customers to identify their needs and provide the best service available.
Biographies
Katherine
Katherine started in the industry as a Customer Service Representative for the transportation arm of a private company. Customer Service, or lack thereof quickly became apparent in its importance to her. Katherine is very proud to say that she still enjoys many contacts with the people she met over 23 years ago.
"I've had the experience of working for both asset and non asset based companies, as well a customs broker before starting Critical Freight Inc in July 2002 after encouragement from many customers and carriers. It was with their support behind me that I was able to establish a company based on honesty, integrity and trust."
Katherine's passion is sliding on snow, whether it's skiing or snowboarding, She's a certified ski instructor, coach and continues to train for higher, better and faster. Katherine is a proud supporter of many Canadian amateur athletes.
Brad
Studied at the University of Guelph, received an Honours degree in Geography, followed by a Bachelors degree in Education from the university of Windsor. After Teachers college Brad joined the team at Northern Telecom (Nortel) and move his way up to the Wireless Order Manager for Europe, Africa, China, South Asia and Australia. Following Nortel Brad moved to become, National Inventory Manager at Microcell, and finally Critical Freight Inc. Brad is a licensed aircraft pilot, ski instructor, scuba diver and enjoys time spent outdoors and travel. Interacting with the diverse spectrum of people in the transportation business, is as rewarding as it is beneficial. This interaction allows for the development of many business and personal relationships which always makes for a well run company.
Cathy
Catherine joined Critical Freight Inc in 2007 after many successful years in the Restaurant/Golf Course Management business. Along with raising two wonderful children and being a grand-mother, she leads a fulfilling life trying to help others. Catherine is an active volunteer with local police departments and O.P.P. detachments in a program called V.C.A.R.S. (Victim Crisis and Referral Service) This taught her to listen to people which she applies daily at Critical Freight Inc. “Sometimes you have to read between the lines and understand what people aren't saying to understand what they really want” Catherine has a deep love for anything on four legs. She is a proud owner of two Border Collies. (One of which is sitting under her desk at this very moment! Fleet) Cathy looks forward to showing her newly purchased Morgan horse named Classy this summer.
